Kun Khalifat Coach Uzoho Signals Resilience After Home Defeat to Remo Stars
Kun Khalifat FC’s head coach, Obinna Uzoho, has urged his side to quickly recover following a 2–1 home loss to champions Remo Stars in their NPFL encounter. The narrow defeat came after the Owerri-based side earned their maiden NPFL point in a stalemate against Rangers.
Uzoho insists the focus now shifts to securing points in their upcoming away fixture.”We’ll go out there and look for a good result, knowing we lost at home and must get a point or points,” he said ahead of their journey to face Kwara United in Ilorin. The newly promoted side currently sits on a single point from two games.
Editorial
We share Uzoho’s belief in his team’s capacity to bounce back. His measured response to adversity speaks of a coach aware that recovery is forged under not in the warmth of praise. This defeat, bruising as it may feel, must not define Kun Khalifat’s NPFL journey. It should instead fuel their evolving identity.
Uzoho’s task blending tactical clarity with psychological fortitude is heavy but not impossible. Staying grounded in preparation and seizing their next opportunity against Kwara United can shift the narrative from reactive to proactive. We stand with them in expecting a spirited response.
